Welcome to Franklin Road Church of Christ

Lovingly known as "The Road", our basic mission is to reach lost souls, to edify the saved, and to meet the needs of the community through feeding the hungry, praying for the sick, visiting the prisoners, clothing the naked, and helping the underprivileged. A family of loving and caring members dedicated to sharing the teachings of Jesus Christ. We have evolved from the first services being held in a house on Crawford Street back in the 1940's to our current location at 1400 Franklin Road in the late 1960's (Matt. 28:19-20; Eph 4:12; 34-39).

We invite you to join us as we grow in faith, build connections, and make an impact for Christ.

Our Mission: Reaching, Edifying, and Serving

Our Mission Is Rooted In The Timeless Words Of Scripture. We Strive To:

REACH LOST SOULS

We are committed to sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ with those who have not yet experienced His saving grace (Matthew 28:19-20). We believe that everyone deserves to know the love and forgiveness found in Jesus.

EDIFY THE SAVED

We provide a nurturing environment for believers to grow in their faith and deepen their relationship with God (Ephesians 4:12). Through worship, Bible study, and fellowship, we equip our members to live out their faith in their daily lives.

MEET THE COMMUNITY'S NEEDS

We believe that faith without works is dead. We are dedicated to serving our community in any way we possibly can. Feeding the hungry, praying for the sick, & helping the underprivaleged.

What We Believe

The Bible

We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God, serving as the ultimate authority in matters of faith and practice. It is without error and provides guidance for our daily lives. (2 Timothy 3:16-17)

God

We believe in one God who exists eternally in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. God is the creator of all things and is sovereign over all creation. (1 John 5:7, Matthew 28:19, Genesis 1:1)

Jesus Christ

We believe Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of God, fully divine and fully human. He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died on the cross for our sins, and rose again on the third day to provide salvation for all who believe in Him. (John 3:16, 1 Corinthians 15:3-4)

Salvation

We believe that salvation is a gift of God’s grace, received through faith in Jesus Christ alone. (Ephesians 2:8-9 & Romans 10:9-10)

The Church

We believe the Church is the body of Christ, made up of all believers who have accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior. The Church exists to worship God, make disciples, and serve others. (1 Corinthians 12:12-13, Matthew 28:19-20)

Baptism & The Lord's Supper

We believe baptism by immersion symbolizes the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ. The Lord's Supper is a memorial of Christ's sacrifice, observed by believers to remember His death until He returns. (Romans 6:3-4, 1 Corinthians 11:23-26)

Eternity

We believe in eternal life through Jesus Christ. Those who accept Him will live forever in His presence, while those who reject Him will face eternal separation from God. (John 3:36, Revelation 20:11-15)

The beauty of Franklin Road Church of Christ, affectionately called "The Road," lies not just in its physical structure, which rose from humble beginnings in a 1940s home to its current 1960s sanctuary, but in the vibrant tapestry of its community. It's a beauty woven from the threads of shared faith, tangible acts of service, and a deep, abiding love for Christ. This "Road" is a path where lost souls find welcome, the faithful are strengthened, and the community is embraced through compassionate outreach, from feeding the hungry to visiting the imprisoned. More than bricks and mortar, the church's true elegance resides in the dedicated hearts of its members, striving together to live out the teachings of Jesus and make a lasting impact for His kingdom.
